Are you an instructional coach, teacher leader, or administrator whose work includes helping teachers set goals for improvement? Jim Knight has identified "PEERS goals" as the most valuable goals we can set when coaching teachers. They keep students at the center of the work and make sure our focus is clearly on making improvements that matter.
I use this handout as a cheat sheet for myself when setting goals with teachers during coaching cycle meetings. Sometimes teachers even ask for their own copies which I am glad to give them!
If you are interested in learning more about how I use PEERS Goals during coaching cycles, be sure to check out my Instructional Coaching Teacher Meeting Notes.
